These headers are specifically designed for the first generation of Boxster 987 and the 987 “S”.
Unlike some of their competition, GT-Racing prides themselves on creating exhaust systems that are correct for the engine and not building a “One Size Fits All”.
Headers come in two different primary tube sizes to accommodate the different Porsche engines. This maximizes the horsepower and torque your engine deserves.
GT-Racing headers are made in the USA from an equal length, mandrel bent 16 gauge mild steel. They maximize flow by utilizing a special merge collector with a “Merge Bullet” to keep the exhaust gases flowing properly. Additionally, they are designed as a simple bolt on with no modifications needed. These headers come with two exhaust bungs in both header banks for customers who want to run with the stock O2 upstream and downstream O2 sensors. (This may require O2 plugs to prevent “Check Engine” (Please contact with questions).
These extremely lightweight systems are built for big horsepower with a broad torque band and get rid of the nasty dip in power between 3,500 and 4,500 RPM that Caymans are known for.
Headers come complete with all gaskets, nuts, bolts, and washers needed and are sold in pairs only.
